UNDERSTANDING REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS

What is a Reverse Osmosis system?

Sometimes shortened to RO. Reverse Osmosis removes contaminants from your water by forcing it through a semipermeable membrane and filter stages, removing unwanted particles and molecules from your drinking water. Once through the filtration process, wastewater is separated and removed. Every time water is pulled from your holding tank, the reverse osmosis system immediately starts to make more water to refill the storage tank, making sure you always have clean, purified drinking water.

Where Is A Reverse Osmosis System Stored?

Reverse osmosis systems are typically installed under your kitchen sink, in the basement, or in your crawl space. These systems are a “point of use” water filtration system and can also connect to your fridge and ice machine

What Are The Benefits Of A Reverse Osmosis System?

Reverse Osmosis drinking water systems allow you to have great tasting, purified water right from your faucet any time you need it. The membrane and filters remove up to 99 percent of contaminants such as arsenic #5, lead, ammonia and chlorine, as well as toxic fluoride, sodium, nitrates and heavy metals.

How Much Service and Maintenance Does An Reverse Osmosis Require?

RO membranes and filters will need to be replaced every 6 months to 2 years depending on the type of filter, your water quality and your water usage volume
